Organized Chaos

When the packers come, there's nothing you can do but stand and watch as your life and home become cardboard boxes.

Now what the moving company fails to tell you is that the people are trained to pack EVERYTHING. No questions asked.

The night before the packers came I forgot to run the dishwasher. So, yes, they wrapped and packed all the dirty glasses and dishes in the dishwasher! The funny thing is that when I unpacked the box I found the silverware basket from the dishwasher full of the dirty utensils still in the basket! The truck
or Shelby's stage

The sofa.

After the truck pulled out of the driveway Shelby and I ran some errands before leaving town. She wanted to eat at "The Sun" for lunch. For those of you who don't know, I used to work at the Sunrise Grill. It's a locally owned restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch all day. Well, sort of. The hours of operation were 6-2, 7 days a week.

Anyway, while we socialising, Shelby got hold of my camera. This is her contribution.

Miss Debbie

Mr. Dre (he knew how to cook Shelby's grilled chicken just right. Squishy.)

The current news

Shelby and Krystal (her rabbit) - self portraits

We then headed up to Greenville to wait for the truck. It would be two days before it would get there. But there were things to do. Shelby finished the school year (again) in Greenville County. She had to be on roll at Pelham Road Elem. for a couple days so she could be eligible to be a returning student next schoolyear. It's a rule in the No Child Left Behind law.

Things are getting settled here slowly. I don't have any pictures of the apartment yet. Still too many boxes around to get a feel of the place.

I do have pictures of things we have done around town.

Until then....

Good job! Keep 'em coming. And your writing is so great! I didn't know you had it in you. It's a lot easier to write about things you're living, isn't it?
I'm loving it.

Mom's so right! You're doing so well! (And, um, Shelby is, too. What a budding photographer!) It's fun, isn't it? I can't wait to see your place!
